ἀταραξία (my new favorite word) – a lucid state of robust tranquility, characterized by ongoing freedom from distress and worry. I’ve felt pretty ataraxic (if that’s even a word) so far on this vacation. Lounging on the beach, waking up without an alarm, going out to eat, it’s been perfect. Last night we went out for Italian (which is ironic because it was in Italian class that I learned about Araraxia) and it was probably the first time in my life I’ve had homemade pasta. It was heavenly.
I’m not usually one to wear braided crowns (in fact, this is the first time it actually worked out (beachy wet hair is the trick)) but I felt it was necessary with this gorgeous dress. With the intricate back, an up-do was imperative, so a braided crown it was. And can we talk about the print on this dress? I’m a sucker for tribal anything, but this was different. Elephants, floral, paisley? What more do you need. Just a warning, but you’ll definitely be seeing this dress a lot.
