2014

Ah, the end of another year. As one stuck in a school-time frame of mind, I still feel as though I have a half of a “year” left… But regardless of the way my mind works, 2014 was quite an awesome year (give or take a concussion or two). I worked with Teen Vogue, I wore a haute couture dress to prom, I stood front row at a concert, I traveled everywhere, I began to look at confidence differently, and I checked a lot off my bucket list.

This year I serendipetiously discovered my favorite color combo: black, white and blue. Quite basic, if I do say so myself, but it was clearly present in my first post of 2014 and my last post of 2014. *cue spooky music*2014 looks 1

I also discovered my general love of prints. Stripes, kimonos, whimsical anything- you name it, I’ve got it… and I’ve worn it.2014 looks 2

Not only did I discover a lot about my fashion sense in 2014, but I also explored my music taste. Attending 5 Seconds of Summer and One Directions concerts solidified my quite obvious boy band addiction. I even found some new gasp* new boy bands to obsess over listen to. Aside from boy bands, I was basically drawn to every type of music. EDM music from my Dropout buddies piqued my interest as well as rap/good-vibes group Radical Something, indie/acoustic masterminds George Ezra, Ed Sheeran, Passenger, First Aid Kit, etc., and the indescribable Matthew Koma who featured on tracks with just about everybody. After the great music from this year, I am fully expecting some snazzy music in 2015. 2014 concerts

Overall, this year was huge for Tunes and Tunics. People from 117 different countries viewed my blog this year and I have gained new readers and subscribers every day. It’s amazing how much people enjoy reading what I write and looking at what I wear (but also weird, because the internet is weird if you think about it). I want to thank everyone who ever put up with my obnoxious specific photography requests, especially my sister Kathryn- T&T would not be here without you all!

So here’s to a happy, healthy and exciting year — bring it on 2015!

Peace n Blessings
