My first real blog post (aka not ridiculous selfies) was taken in front of this wall. Maybe it’s what started my love of cool walls, or maybe it was just an easy wall to go to because I didn’t have to coax my sister to wander too far from the comfort of our home. This side wall of my house will soon become the wall of someone else’s house, as my family is moving a whole four miles away from my childhood home. I’ll for sure miss this backup blogging location and super secluded wall free from random people walking by, but my new house has a pool so I’m over it.
Speaking of over it, I’m also over the snow. Sure, it’s absolutely beautiful when it’s happening and makes for great blog pics, but it also cancels flights and makes you cold and gets grey and slushy on the sidewalks. I head back to 72˚ sunshine in LA tomorrow, and as much as I’ll miss mooching cozy sweaters from my sister’s closet, and as much as I wish I didn’t start class at 8am on Monday morning, warm weather is the be-all and end-all to my happiness (along with açaí bowls and One Direction and 9 solid hours of sleep and window seats and iced green tea, and lots of other things). TL;DR warm weather is better than snow.
Also Ed Sheeran came out with new songs yesterday and I’ve already cried about them. “Shape of You” is my favorite. So, so, so, so, so, so good.
