I’m back with another AC(TEE)VISM post and I’m super excited about these tees. Tees For Bees is the company behind these funky shirts all about saving the bees. Their shirts are ethically made in the USA (can I get a whoop, whoop) and they donate 10% of their sales to – you guessed it – saving the bees. Although it many not be obvious, bees play an incredibly important role in our lives. According to Sustain, “the honey bee plays an essential role in pollination of commercial crops, with around 80% of the US crop said to be dependent on honey bees.” Honey bees are currently dying at alarming rates, prompting the US to list a bumble bee species as endangered for the first time back in January. Tees For Bees is saving the bees one tee at a time by donating to Bee City, whose mission is to gather appreciation for pollinators and share what we as humans can do to spread the “message of beauty and connectedness” that pollinators posses. Tees For Bees has also been designated as a Bee Business, which is a business that gives back to bees financially as well as meets certain environmental requirements. Basically Tees For Bees is the bees knees.
Tees For Bees have a plethora of styles of tees for every bee lover out there. I’m wearing the OG Save The Bees tee, which also comes in cropped and black styles. They also have a tee that says “Plant More Flowers” and a fun “Queen Bee” crop. If you’re not into slogans on your tees, Tees For Bees also has a simple crop tee with two large drawings of flowers. They even have kids tees and a baby onesie! I absolutely love the simplicity of these tees, with the plain black and white color scheme and the fun 70’s inspired font. Not to mention they are incredibly comfortable, too (and don’t forget ethically made!). Prices range from $24.99 to $26.99, so you can help save the bees without breaking the bank!
