It’s ridiculously easy to get bogged down in the day to day activities of college – class, homework, seemingly never ending group projects, food, sleep, etc. It’s Earth Day tomorrow, aka my yearly reminder to get outside, and while Earth Day is always April 22nd, it came at just the right time this year. I’ve been spending as much time as possible out in the Southern California sun these past few days, trying to soak it all in before I return to humid, humid, humid New York in a few weeks. This rose garden is a 15 minute walk from my dorm room, and is right across the street from the building where 85% of my classes are, but this Wednesday was the first time I actually visited. I’ve been there three times since then and literally want to spend every free moment I have there. So shoutout to Earth Day and the end of the school year for getting me outside!!!

I also want to give a shoutout to my friends, who loan me clothes whenever I get sick of wearing the same few things in my closet, and sell stuff to me when they don’t want it anymore. Camila let me borrow this shirt and I bought this skirt (and another skirt which I’m sure will make a T&T appearance) from Annie. Borrowing clothes from friends and buying their old stuff is a great way to start being a sustainable shopper, and is also a great way to mix up your style without having to buy something entirely new. Friends who help friends be ~sustainably~ fashionable are real keepers.

Tunes: “Rosie” by John Mayer – a fitting title & a great (and new!) song by a talented guy
